The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
- Some personal identifiers and characteristics (e.g. name, age, account references, postcode, demographic data, credit reference data, open banking data) on behalf of our corporate customers, who are data controllers. Data is held securely and anonymised
- Employee data for the purposes of running a payroll, workplace pension scheme and health & safety scheme
- Directors’ information for statutory reporting purposes
- Shareholder data
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Very little of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by consumers. The following reasons may apply:
- Data Subject Access Requests (DSARS) where we need personal information to correspond with you
- Complaint handling where we need personal information to correspond with you
More commonly, we receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
- Our corporate customers, who have a relationship with you. We act as a data processor on their behalf to undertake data analytic work where your name, address and date of birth are not required. We may use the age banding and postcode information for demographic analysis
We use the information that you have given us in order to undertake data analytic work at a corporate customer portfolio level.
We may share this information with the firms that supply the data to us on a reciprocal basis. We also provide reports to IVA voting agents who assess IVA proposals from your insolvency practitioner (if applicable).
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. Generally where special category data (e.g. vulnerabilities that you may have disclosed). You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting at any time using the contact details on this policy.
(b) We need it to perform a public task.
(c) We have a legitimate interest.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep data that could be used to personally identify you for 6 months. We will then dispose of your information by deletion of your data unless it relates to a record that requires retention for a longer period of time (e.g. where there has been a complaint).

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
